I couldn't believe it....

Yesterday while working at the Crafting Cottage on Market St. we had a surprise visitor! Non other that Mrs. Claus herself stopped by to check in on us! I had Noah, my grandson with me for a short while and she stopped in to see if he had been naughty or nice all year long. She looked
grand in her red Santa hat and her red ribbon earrings. She was in town helping Santa out for the day. I assured her that Noah had been a pretty good boy this year.

She loved all of the sales that we were having and all of the 50% off stamps in our back room. I reminded her that our sales would be running today (Sunday, 12-4) also.

Thanks Joyce for bringing in pictures of that beautiful grandson of yours yesterday! Being a grandmother is TERRIFIC! I am looking forward to seeing you and Maren and Cherie this afternoon. I am sure they will enjoy our sale as much as you did.

Well I must get ready to head out for Market St. See you all there!

WOW!

Well it was a very busy day on Market St. for Black Friday! Cheryl and I had a lot of fun waiting on all of you. Don't fret though if you couldn't make it today because we still have everything at 25% off tomorrow and Sunday. Also we still have a good supply of stamps in our back room at 50% off. We will be open tomorrow from 10 until 5 and then again right after the parade.

I saw Santa today going for a carriage ride down Market St. He gave Cheryl, Trish and I a big wave and a smile. He was looking good! He said he had a lot of requests for rubber stamps in his dear Santa letters. He also wanted to know if we had Score Pals and Purple Cow Cutters in stock and I assured him that we did. They would make terrific Christmas gifts! I also reminded him that he could give gift certificates from The Crafting Cottage to his good little girls and boys and then they could have fun choosing their own crafting items. He was quite pleased that we opened another store on Market St. because it would sure make his holiday season a little easier. I told him when he stopped in to load up his sleigh that I would have some cookies and milk for him. He was looking a little on the thin side.

Stop in and see us as you are enjoying all of the holiday events on the street this weekend.

Thanks Girls...

There was no better way to end the day yesterday than to have Joyce, Cherie and Marn in a class at the Market St. Crafting Cottage! Thanks for making my day. The fun, laughter (almost tears) was terrific. I loved the way you each decorated your Memory Jar Journals. They are going to be very special gifts this year. I can't wait until our next class! I will call you as soon as the wreath stamps arrive.

Now I am off to Market St. for another busy day. I plan on working on the preparations for our Tag Exchange which is next Friday! YIKES! I have a lot to do. Lucky for me I have Cheryl to help out.

We had some beautiful wine themed papers and embellishments arrive yesterday from Creative Imaginations. Stop in and see them. They won't last long.

It's here...

The Verses Rubber Stamps Trunk Show has arrived at the Market St. Store. I will be busy tomorrow pricing the stamps and getting them ready for the week long sale starting Sat. They sent some wonderful verses and sentiments for inside your cards. It is dangerous having access to all of these terrific stamps! Every one I pulled out of the box I thought to myself, oh I could use this one. I have already made a nice stash to purchase to come home with me. They also sent along some lovely card samples. Can't wait for you to stop by and see them. Keep in mind that this weekend starts Holidazzle and there will be 15% off your entire purchase at the Market St. Crafting Cottage. Come do some Christmas Shopping and enjoy the savings!

I was so happy to see you Sue on Saturday at the Market St. store! I loved visiting with you and sharing all of our new products with you. I will get your stamp ordered right away for you. I am so glad you signed up for our tag exchange! See you soon.

It's Coming...

The Trunk Show from Verses Stamps is coming to the Crafting Cottage on Market St. this weekend and will continue through next week. I can't wait to see what all they send us! I will do my best to get them out and displayed as soon as possible. But...they will only be here for ONE week. So make sure you stop in over the weekend or next week.

We will be taking part in the Hollidazzle Celebration this Friday-Monday in downtown Corning. We will be open Sunday from 12-4 and Monday from 10-6. Stop in and get some early Christmas shopping done.

Starting this Sunday we will be open on Sunday's from 12-4 throughout the holiday season.
This will give you more of a chance to get your supplies and use our classroom to make and complete your holiday projects.

Danny and Charlie have been busy completing my larger classroom on the second floor of our store. It is going to be terrific.

Cheryl and I have been making plans for our big Christmas Tag exchange party. I can't wait. If you have signed up for the exchange, we have 37 on our list. So get busy on those tags ladies. It will be a fun filled evening for all!

About Me

Corning, New York
My husband and I moved here from Centre County, PA almost five years ago. Working with The Crafting Cottage Family has certainly made the move a positive one. What wonderful friends I've made! When not crafting at one of our two locations, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two children and two beautiful grandchildren that I love to spoil.
