The Stacy Vellum Class was a huge success! Everyone had a great time and we had a nice visit with Stacy. It was so good to see all of you.

I need your help ladies that were in the Market St. Store on Thursday evening. I lost a bracelet that evening that holds a lot of sentimental value to me. If by chance you found one in your purchases or remember of seeing me with it on, please let me know. I am offering a reward if anyone finds it. Thanks for checking in your bags for me.

We have some new arrivals at the store. Flower Soft is flying off the shelves, some new large specialty papers that were put out on Friday were a hot item on Sat. and more.

Lots of new items coming into the Crafting Cottage on Market St. in Corning. We will have three full rooms upstairs of product plus the hallway is filled to the brim. Cheryl and Ben have been really busy helping to get the product out and ready for all of you to see. Ben is a hoot, he is constantly making fun of me if I ask him to rearrange things because they don't quite match or I just want to tweak them a little bit more. He is a great asset to us this summer.

Well I am off to the lake for a few days. Thanks for looking around for my bracelet girls. More news next week.

Friends...

Today was a fun day at the Crafting Cottage on Market St. in Corning, NY. I had a group of friends from the State College, PA area come for a shopping visit. The group included my sister Susanne, and friends Wanda, Karen, Alyssa, Kim, and Sharon. For some of them it was their first visit to our Market St. store. They loved the store and devoured every little nook and corner. There was a lot of laughter and fun as they searched through the buttons, die-cut shapes, felt alphabets and more of the Creative Cafe'. Yards and yards of ribbon went out the door and back to PA with the girls along with papers, Score Pals, Bare Element Books, Basicgrey rub-on tools and more.
When the girls finished shopping we went and enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Market St. Brewing Company. Then they shopped more on Market St. as I went back to the Crafting Cottage. I made sure before they left Corning that they visited our East Corning Crafting Cottage also. They enjoyed visiting with Georgia and ravaged through all of the stickers!
It sounds like they will be reserving our classroom for a Craft and Crop Around the Clock night or two. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! Thanks friends, it was great seeing all of you!

Here they are...

Finally I was able to post some pictures of our first Craft & Crop
Around the Clock weekend at the 38 East Market St. Crafting Cottage. As you can see the ladies are having a lot of fun. In one picture Devon and Marcey are on the floor devouring the stamps in our classroom that they got to use. Another picture shows the girls having a glass of wine. Devon is taking a break in one of the pictures as she waves to the camera. She had just finished creating the cards that I have pictured. I can't wait for them to return in March!
The Feb. Classes are having a great response already. I am thinking of holding my Simple Six class once in the evening and once during the day each month. If this would be better for any of you please email me at hennfriends@hotmail.com and let me know what day and or time may work for you. I will try and get some of the class samples on my blog within the next few days.

They are coming back...

We had a great time as we crafted the weekend away. Devon made a ton of cards and enjoyed using our die-cuts and embossing. Marcey completed a scrapbook and was thrilled. Trish stamped some coasters for a co-worker and her son and also designed her sons graduation party invites as she crafted through the weekend.

Needless to say they all enjoyed their shopping discount from our store!

We crafted, enjoyed some food and wine, laughed and crafted more. Georgiana joined us Sat. early evening for a toast to our first Craft and Crop Around the Clock visiters. And yes as Devon wrote in her post... they booked another weekend in March! I am thrilled.

I took some fun pictures with a new camera, I just have to have my hubby get them down loaded and then I will share them with all of you.

They Are On Their Way...

Wow we have a great weekend planned! My friends from the Penn State area are coming to Craft @ Crop Around the Clock this weekend. I am looking forward to seeing them and having a lot of fun. I am really looking forward to having some time to actually do some crafting for myself and for the store. (samples, samples, samples)

Trish, Devon and Marcy are the first group to have a girls weekend of crafting in our classroom on the second floor of our store. Cheryl and I spent the day making sure things were all in place and ready for them. We have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, muffins, fruit and juice lined up for our breakfast. They are bringing tons of snacks and I am sure we will be visiting some of the restaurants on Market St. for a few meals also.

They will be enjoying a shopping discount at our store while they are here also. What they don't know is that I made them "goodie bags" to give them tomorrow! I can't wait!

Well, I have to get back to the store as they will be arriving any time. Have a great weekend and I will post pictures of our fun on Sunday.

How creative...

I am receiving more Bare Element Clips every day. The due date for them to be in is Friday, Jan. 16th. Some of you are really thinking outside the box! I love it! Don't worry though, if you don't have yours done you still have time. The Crafting Cottage Family will judge the entries and notify the top three winners. The winners will receive a gift certificate from our store.

We have more Purple Cow Cutters, Spellbinder Wizards, and Nestibilities in the Market St. store waiting for you arrival. The possibilities are endless as to what you can do with these tools.

We also have a nice selection of heart and Valentines stamps! It is never too soon to be making your loved ones their Valentines. Don't forget we have a Be Mine Valentine Class on Jan. 27th. There is still time to sign up.

Cheryl and I are working on our class schedule for Feb. and it should be up and listed in a few days. Keep checking and remember if we have a class that the date doesn't work with your schedule, just let us know and we will work with you on finding date that does.

How creative...

The Bare Element Clips have been being returned to the store for our contest. I must say that some of you really thought "outside the box". I love it!!! Keep in mind that the deadline is Friday, Jan 16 to get them turned into the Market St. Crafting Cottage. I will have our Crafting Cottage Family judge the entries and the top three will receive gift certificates from our store. Don't fret if you don't have yours finished, there is still time.

We have more Purple Cow Cutters, Spellbinder Wizards, and Nestibilities in our store just waiting for you arrival. The possibilities are endless as to what you can create with these tools!

And the winner is...

For the month of December I decided to have a contest for anyone who purchased anything from the Crafting Cottage on Market ST., Corning. The winner would win a coupon book fileed with different coupons for the year 2009. Janet Howie is the winner of the 2009 Coupon Book drawing. Congrats Janet, you will have tons of discounts and fun with your coupon book.

I hate to say it but Cheryl and I have been moving product around making room for more products that we haven't had out yet. I think in a few days we should have this completed.
We have put a ton more stamps out!

I am getting really excited for my friends from State College, PA to come later in the month for our first Craft and Crop Til' You Drop Weekend. I've been working on stocking our new classroom with everything you'll need to have fun all weekend long! Just give me a call at 607 937-3103 and we can book a weekend for you and your friends! About Me

Corning, New York
My husband and I moved here from Centre County, PA almost five years ago. Working with The Crafting Cottage Family has certainly made the move a positive one. What wonderful friends I've made! When not crafting at one of our two locations, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two children and two beautiful grandchildren that I love to spoil.
