Tis The Season...

We at the Crafting Cottage are busy decorating for Christmas. Yesterday Georgiana, Georgia, Cheryl and myself put up our new nine foot Christmas tree and started to redecorate our store windows. Today Cheryl and I trimmed the tree and moved our lady into the wind0w. It takes a lot of time to get those windows just how you want them. The work will continue tomorrow.

We've got some new Christmas papers from Graphic 45 and Magenta due to arrive very soon. Along with some new Peel Offs from Magenta!

The holiday Flower Soft items have arrived! Get them while they last!

Stop by and see the new lay out of the store. Last week I had the urge to move EVERYTHING around and soooooo we did. Cheryl and Georgia were very good sports about it.

Corning's Holidazzle is this Friday-Monday. We are having 15% off during the celebration

September's Card Contest winner was Peggy Jo Smith from Corning. Congratulations Peggy!

Later Sat. afternoon I am doing the patchwork pumpkin class. There are still a few openings for these classes.

I spent the weekend in Pittsburgh at my sister's home. After traveling through snow, rain and fog I arrived in Centre County PA and met up with two of my sisters and we continued are journey to Pittsburgh. We had a great weekend. We stayed up until 2:00am Sunday evening crafting. I took along the Wizard Die Cut Machine and some of the dies. They loved the cards we made. I am excited to say that my three sister's are coming to Corning to visit the last weekend of October and we will be crafting up a storm making our Christmas cards.

Our Christmas Tag Exchange now has 26 signed up. Oh 27, I forgot to add my sister Trish to the list. There is still time to sign up and join us on Friday, Nov. 20 at 6:00 for an evening of holiday fun. Exchange handmade Christmas tags, enjoy Christmas music, food and fellowship with other crafters!

The August card contest winner is Fernelle Rodriguez from Rochester. Congratulations Fernelle.
The other pictures posted are the view of the lake from the cottage and the two shades of paint that we surprised Georgiana with. The adorable dog is Jasper, she was also along for the girls weekend.

Women hard at work!!!!!

Oh yes... last Saturday I was at the Crafting Cottage lake house with Georgiana and my sister Trish. We were having a girls weekend. We had a wonderful time! The fun started Thursday evening as we arrived and continued until Sunday afternoon.

Above are pictures from our dinner at the Dresden Hotel Thursday evening. As you can see we are having a great time. Georgiana is rock n' to the music and enjoying her favorite chicken wings. My sister Trish is was laughing at the size of our drinks.
Friday we did some fun work around the lake house. But first Georgiana prepared breakfast for Trish and I. She loves cooking breakfast and I must say it was delicious. Then the fun began! Georgiana cut down some brush and trees outside while Trish and I stripped some wallpaper from one one of the bedroom walls.

Hey time is going by fast, I have to get to Market St. I will post more at the store.

Above are a few pictures to share with all of you. Apples-N-Bananas Summer Program came for a crafting afternoon in Aug. and created some beautiful 6x6 Rollabind Scrapbooks! Here are a few pictures of some very busy crofter's having fun. They were a wonderful group of children that Cindy and her assistants brought with them. I look forward to crafting with them again real soon.
I will be sharing some other fun things a little later today.
