What a fun day at the Crafting Cottage! We were so busy with the wonderful bus full of crafty ladies from Binghamton. It was so nice to see all of them. Wow... did the Basicgrey fly out of the store! Then there was the Magenta woven papers and Peel Off's, we will certainly be placing an order on Monday to restock. Beth and Cheryl and I took care of the Market St. store while the bus was there, then Cheryl and I went to the East Corning store to help Tiffany out. What fun!
Keep checking in for some exciting news to come...

Busy, Busy, Busy...
We have been so busy at The Crafting Cottage this week. Getting ready for the Windmill to open this Saturday and also getting ready for our bus full of excited crafters to join us on Saturday morning.
There are also so many exciting things coming up. OOOPS I can't say any more on that at this time! Except it is really going to keep us moving to stay on top of everything. But, we have a great group of ladies in our Crafting Cottage Family and I am very sure we will come through with shining colors. I will certainly fill you in on all of the excitement at soon as I can...

OHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Basicgrey finally arrived!!! It is so beautiful. The colors, the flourishes, the stripes, it is all breathtaking. Papers, stamps, glazed brads, buttons and rub on's that I can't wait to get my hands on. Tomorrow I will make time to play a little and make some great samples. Hurry in to see it!
Magenta is selling like wildfire. I am already out of one of my new lines of Peel Off's and one color of the mesh paper. That is with- in a week of putting it on the rack. Don't worry though, I am placing a re-order of those items and a few more tomorrow.
Betsy one of our paper company reps. came to visit today. It was so nice seeing her and seeing all of the new lines she reps. for. We have some more new items on the way. I'll tell you more on those at a later date.
With the weather being so beautiful Market St. has been buzzing with people out enjoying the sun. I am heading to bed early in anticipation of a busy Saturday. Stop by and visit.

What a great day at The Crafting Cottage on Market St. We had some of Hampton Arts Stamps arrive for the Creative Cafe' and also an order from the Paper Cut. Fun, fun, fun!
I had a class this evening with three lovely ladies. They learned to glass etch. Each of their projects turned out quite well. They are all excited to try their hand at other etching ideas for gifts in the up-coming year. Next month they are going to tackle Magenta Peel Off's.
We had our order from Fire Mountain arrive the other day and Beth has been busy designing our Mother's Day Bracelet for our Mother's Day Tea we are having at the Market St. Store. The date for our tea is Friday, May 9th at 5:30. The cost is $20 for this event. You will enjoy some tea and refreshments along with taking home a special Mother's Day Bracelet that we help you personalize and also a special mini book created for you. This is not a class. This is an event to come and relax and celebrate being a mother or having a mother or just loving mother's. You must pre-register at the Market St. store by Monday, May 5th so we can make preparations for the tea. Just call Beth or Barb @ 937-3138 or 937-3139 and sign up today! We will try and post a picture of the bracelet for you all to see tomorrow.

What A Day!
Just returned home from The Crafting Cottage on Market St. What a fun, busy day. I started out with three wonderful ladies who came in at 10:00 to do the Garden Gift Box/Card Class. They were a lot of fun and must have had a good time because they are coming back next month for a Magenta Peel Off's Class. I can't wait.
My two sister's from PA came up today to the store and I went to lunch with my mother and them. That was a nice treat. It was great seeing them, even if for a short time. They loved shopping with all of the new products in the store. My sister Cindy is just trying her hand at scrapbooking. She has been a card maker for a long time. My other sister Susanne, she has been scrapbooking and card making for years.
I was so excited to see the new Magenta Papers flying out of the store. Everyone is loving them.
The same can be said for the My Favorite Things Stamps. They are going fast. That just means a reorder will be needed!
My third sister, Trish, from the Penn State area is coming this evening to spend a couple days crafting with me. I have a lot of ideas for items for the Windmill. Card sets, Rolla Bind Books ready for you to put pictures in, Brag Books ready for pictures, journals and more! Have a great weekend. If I can I will post some of my weekend creations.

Magenta Has Arrived!

Magenta arrived this morning. The papers are beautiful! Stripes, florals, woven, all in gorgeous colors. The stamps are fun! Birds, flowers, seashore, butterflies, and did I mention BIRDS, they are a hot item. We also got more flower, frames, bird and birthday Peel Off's. Tiffany and I saw a lot of samples at the Susan Gilman show last week using the BIRD theme.
Beth and I spent the afternoon arranging the Magenta area of the store so it is ready and waiting for you to come and see. I can't wait to start making some samples with the new stamps and papers. Above I have posted a few sample from Magenta that I made at the Show in Mass. last week. Keep watching for the Magenta classes to be posted for next month.
We also were happy to receive another shipment from Creative Imaginations today. Our little boy and little girl paper and rub on's arrived. They are so CUTE! Double sided, vibrant colored paper that is great for scrapbooking or card making.
Well let's see.... we still have Hampton Arts, BasicGrey, more Creative Imaginations, new scrapbooks from a new company, and the Paper Cut to come in to the Market St. store. Plus some new items for the Creative Cafe'. I'll keep you posted when the big brown truck pulls up again!

We're On A Roll!
What I mean is the new product has begun to roll into our stores. My Favorite Things arrived at the Market St. Crafting Cottage yesterday. Their new stamps are sooooo cute. I was selling them before I even had them priced! There is a great Mother's Day set, a fun garden set, a really cute farm animal set, and more. I can't wait to make samples for the store.
I called about our BasicGrey order yesterday and it should be shipping early next week. I guess I can wait that long. :( I can't wait to get my hands on their new paper and coordinating stamp sets! I do believe that Magenta will be arriving this week yet. I will keep you posted. I loved the class I took at the Sue Gilman Show from Magenta. There are new Peel Off's, paper, stamps and more on their way.
Must head out to the store. I will update and let you know if anything rolls in today!

Can't Wait!
Tomorrow should be a busy day on Market St. with the Corning Glass Sale in full swing. It was great seeing all of you today. Thanks for stopping in. I got all of my formal managers work done and did some playing today. I made an adorable card set for Georgiana to take to the Windmill. Hopefully I'll have more time to play tomorrow. If I get a chance I will put it on line for all of you to see. Don't forget 20% off tomorrow and Sunday!

Endless Ideas!
My mind is racing with all of the endless crafting ideas I have learned and experienced over the last four days in Boston. Tiffany and I had the pleasure of attending the Susan Gilman Show in Mass. It was busy from morning until evening with classes. Until Monday night came I was exhausted but very excited to head home in the morning, to begin planning classes and events to share with everyone.
Hopefully tomorrow I can post some samples from my classes for you.

About Me

- My husband and I moved here from Centre County, PA almost five years ago. Working with The Crafting Cottage Family has certainly made the move a positive one. What wonderful friends I've made! When not crafting at one of our two locations, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two children and two beautiful grandchildren that I love to spoil.
